Coaching Philosophy

Coach Zimmer’s philosophy is built around a simple but powerful belief: basketball is not who his players are—it is what they do in pursuit of becoming the best versions of themselves. Winning matters and competition is embraced, but the ultimate purpose of the program extends far beyond the scoreboard.

Meaningful growth occurs when athletes are pushed beyond their comfort zones while knowing they are supported by coaches and teammates who genuinely care about their success. Players are challenged to compete fiercely, communicate honestly, lead courageously, and hold themselves accountable to a high standard.

His mission extends far beyond the scoreboard — he is committed to helping young women develop the confidence, courage, discipline, and leadership skills necessary to succeed in life.
