Basketball is What We Do. Who They Become is the WIN.
Lady Rangers Girls Basketball uses the game as a classroom for courage, character, and leadership — developing fierce competitors on the court and confident young women for life.
Building Strong Rangers On and Off the Court
At Rincon/University High School, Lady Rangers Girls Basketball is about more than wins and losses. Under Head Coach Stephen Zimmer, our program pushes athletes beyond their comfort zones while surrounding them with coaches and teammates who genuinely care. We demand effort, accountability, and defensive intensity — and we use every practice, game, and huddle to build leaders, teammates, and young women of character.
Our Program Pillars
Compete Fiercely
We demand relentless effort, tough defense, and a team-first mindset every time we step on the court.
Lead Courageously
Players are challenged to use their voice, own their role, and set the standard for work ethic and attitude.
Live with Character
We focus on how our athletes carry themselves in the classroom, at home, and in the community.
Basketball isn’t who we are. It’s what we do in pursuit of becoming the best versions of ourselves.
